Mallah for Import and Export
After 1990, the economy of the Syrian Arab Republic opened
up and developed, leading to an increase in foreign markets.
The Mallah Group began importing
yarn and exporting textiles in the form of cotton underwear
and shirts to American and European markets. It developed
a special department to study other markets, which among others,
led to the buying and selling of animal fodder. It also imports
caustic soda for local markets for petroleum and detergent
purposes.
